Cool Sparkling Gray Lavender Drink Recipe

Ellie The Elephant Tutubuddy wanted a delicious, but cool drink for her summer tea parties. It's too warm for hot tea though, and Ellie isn't a big fan of iced tea. Time to try something new! It is delicious, refreshing, and soothing. Perfect for any tea party- whether it's for the ladies or your little princesses!

Ingredients You'll Need:

Boiling Water
1 Bag Earl Gray Tea
Sparkling Water
Lavender Syrup
Small, Dried Roses (Optional)

/*I get my lavender syrup and dried roses from Jungle Jim's, however, if you're not in the area, you can find them online- I know the syrup is definitely on Amazon, I'm assuming the roses are too.)

Directions:

Place boiling water into bowl. Add 1 bag of earl gray tea.

Let seep until it's the desired strength. Place dried roses into ice cube trays. (Optional. You can also use dried lavender, any other dried, safe, flowers, mint leaves, sage, ect.)

Pour hot tea into ice cube trays. If you want to make the drink a little sweeter, add a little honey to the earl gray tea. Place trays into freezer.

Don't wait for the tea to cool- this allows the ice cubes to freeze quicker. (Due to the Mpemba Effect. See More Information of the Mpemba Effect.)

Place 1 tablespoon (or desired amount) of lavender syrup in the bottom of a glass (or tea cup!) Add sparkling water. Very gently stir to mix the syrup, but don't disperse all the bubbles.

Add earl gray ice cubes. Let sit a little bit to let the ice cubes melt slightly and mix with the lavender soda. Sip while reading a great book, or with your friends! Enjoy!
